Our Plan for the Bay

  • Keeping Council Tax Down

     Keep Council Tax Down and implement measures to help with the cost of living - 3 cost of living payments totaling £900 will be made to lower-income and vulnerable Torbay households by the Government, with a £300 pensioner.
  • Our Town Centre

    Regenerate our Town Centres, including getting £35m of government funded projects underway – The Government backed Torquay’s Town Deal with £21.9m and Paignton’s Future High Streets Fund with £13.4m, plus a further £3m for the Paignton Picture House.
  • Road Safety

    Improve Road Safety, including tackling dangerous parking near schools and speeding – I have worked with local Councillors and residents to campaign for improvements to road safety across our local area.
  • Better Access to Leisure

    Discounted Parking, discounted leisure access and discounted toilet access for local residents – Working with Torbay council to implement a scheme which encourages residents to use local facilities.
  • Keeping Us Safe

    Deliver safer Town Centres, by installing more CTV, improved lighting & more policing – Torbay’s Conservative MP, Council and Police and Crime Commissioner are now working together to tackle the issues raised by residents, with support offered to those who are homeless, alongside measures to imp

    Restore pride in Our Bay, by regenerating long derelict buildings and improving our street scene – Derelict sites in our Town Centres can be used to create new homes and jobs, with work already underway to convert a former supermarket into a Community Diagnostic Centre to support local health servic
