This deal is excellent news and just the boost our nation needed after a difficult week.

I have seen first-hand the work across Government to secure this landmark agreement led by our Chief Negotiator David Frost, which critics had constantly claimed could not be achieved in a year. The deal will give certainty to our local businesses, hope of a brighter future for our fishing industry and deliver a long-lasting partnership between the United Kingdom and our neighbours in the European Union, whilst deliverying the Referendum result.

I particularly welcome news of the new Turing Scheme. It will allow students from our bay to expand their horizons across the globe and enable them to access study courses at leading global institutions in science, engeneering and the arts.
