In May 2007 as part of a Cabinet reshuffle Kevin moved to become Cabinet Member (City Development). This brief gave him responsibility for economic regeneration, transport and the councils property portfolio. Kevin regularly appears in the local media to both promote what he is doing as a Cheylesmore Councillor and comment on a range of issues affecting local people.
